So what’s the easiest way to produce a book if you can’t write it yourself? Use other peoples material. “Isn’t that stealing or plagiarism”? You ask. Well it would be if you didn’t get permission. “Now why would any one give me permission to use their material”?

Believe it or not every day people sit and write articles and give you permission to copy them. Too good to be true! Are they crazy? Usually they are business owners with web sites, and they write articles to get publicity for their businesses. They actually want people to copy their article and help spread it far and wide. Normally their article or a small paragraph at the end will contain a link back to their web site. So the more people who see their article the more visitors their web sites get and the more business they do.

So go to goarticles.com in the search bar type in “Ferrets” or whatever your chosen topic is. Make sure you search on article content, not Author. Now you should get thousands of results. Here’s what you do next. Go through the search results, and choose at least seventy articles on your chosen topic. If you really need some cash now then you will have to go out and get a job. Sorry but that’s the truth of it. You’re unlikely to make a fortune overnight. There is a lot to learn about Internet Marketing just as with any business.

Number 1. Give people good reasons to sign up.

This is where most people fail. They create an affiliate programme, and put a link on the web pages to invite people to join that says “Click here to sign up” and they think that’s their job done! If you want people to sell for you you’ve got to give them some real good reasons why they should.

Create a sales letter explaining the benefits of joining your programme. Tell them how good the commission rate is (Make it a really good rate, 50% is good). Explain how they can have a business which earns them a living without them ever having to create their own products, they don’t even need a website and where someone else (you) does all the really hard work.

Number 2: Give them good marketing materials

It’s a big mistake to assume that because someone signed up to your programme they’re some kind of marketing expert. They may be a complete newbie. Do the work for them. After all you don’t have to pay their wages or benefits.

Give them the tools. Banner ads, pay per click ads, email promotions, articles and press releases. Whatever it takes; remember you’re doing it for your own benefit in the long run. It’s all about multiplication, if you do a successful email promotion; let’s just say it gets a modest 25 sales, imagine having a hundred affiliates doing the same, now you’ve got 2500 sales. Are you thinking of becoming an affiliate marketer. In which case, you could run your business without having your own website. Plenty of people earn loads of money online by promoting other peoples products, and you can do this by using advertising, either classified or pay per click. Gain Credibility.

A website of your own can give you more credibility when recommending affiliate products. Don’t have a site full of ads and affiliate links, but one which gives your potential customers good solid information about you and your company. Contact details, maybe a little history of your business, why you’re in this sort of business. People buy from someone they know or at least someone they like. Help them to know you.

Build a customer base

Having your own website means you can put an opt-in form on a page for people to subscribe to a newsletter or special offer, something to get them to give you their name and email address. That way you can build a list of customers with an interest in your type of service or products. Without a list you are continually looking for new customers. Remember money is made from a sale. Fortunes are made from back end sales. You need to keep selling to these customers time and time again

Even if you’re selling affiliate products with a great site of their own, having people visit your site first gives you the chance to pre sell or warm them up. You don’t need a 10 page sales letter. If you are promoting more than one product, either your own or as an affiliate, than having your own site can give you’re a sort of base camp to tie things together. You can have links to pages for different yet similar products. And if the pages are filled with useful information rather than just advertising, your visitors will have a more rewarding experience and hopefully be more likely to buy, and to recommend your site.

Don’t forget that having your own web site, gives you more opportunities to earn money. AdSense for example. Now some people will snort derisively when you mention AdSense, but it costs you nothing to put it on your web pages, and it provides adverts targeted at your market. If someone clicks on an AdSense ad on your site and then buys from that advertiser you earn money! It may not earn you a fortune but why should you turn it down.
